I would put the fuel filter on the frame away from any heat sources, probably towards the rear of the vehicle. The regulator should probably go on the inner fender. Try to mount it so that the fuel lines don't have to go over the headers. Also, it's a good ides to install a shut off valve between the pump and filter. It will prevent fuel from siphoning when filter is removed.
