OK, Rick C. suggested that with my new combo, using my old solid cam, that I install it on a 106 ILC. I always degree my cam in per the card, card says "lobe sep. 110" and "degree Intake Lobe to 108" Now, I have the 9 key way timing chain set, and think that for it to degree in, it is installed at 4 deg. adv., (or was it 4 deg retarded, I can remember, I'll check my note on the wall) so to get the 106 is that just 2 more degrees?? Or just leave it at the 108 per the cam card??? I was planning on stuffing it back in as it came out of the old motor, like I said degreed in per the cam card. I'm guessing that the method to Ricks' madness is to reduce the cranking compression.

It may bleed off cylinder pressure...

probly wont cost you power with nitrous...fish

    More on the Crank....

The 106 ICL will drop you rpm range a little for a better power window under 6200. It will increase your cranking compression a little since you are closing the intake valve sooner on the compression stroke. 108 is a good spot but since you are trying to keep the power lower than what the cam may like, 2 degrees will help a little. It's all madness, I like it! :puzzled:  :TU:

Are you going to be able to throw a halo girdle on it? :Do No:
