I know there’s a shortage and Cams are hard to find at the moment. I wanted to see if anyone has a new camshaft on their shelf. it would be for my 1968 430 in my 67 GS400. I currently have a performer intake, KB long tubes, and Sniper EFI. Wanted something with a nice lope that would work best with the stock heads and springs . Thanks!
Sorry, no cam, but I have a 1967 430 in a 68 GS 400. Great to know someone else who has a 430 in a GS 400.
I bought the car without the engine and couldn’t find a 400 block at the time. I’m still attempting to dress it up to look original. I scored a deal on the rebuilt 430 that was local and swapped it right in to get it going.
I believe my car has had 4 owners. I got it from my immediate family member a year ago who had it since 1994. That family member got it from a close family friend who had it for a couple years in the early 1990s who said he got it from the original owner. Everyone assumed and was told it was factory original, but I guess no one bothered to check. I discovered recently it was a 67 430. It’s pretty obvious it has been in the car a long time, so I think it was a dealer swap or swapped in late 60s or early 70s but don’t really know. The radiator had been replaced, likely in early 1970s. It has a 7028242 1968 GS 400 factory correct Rochester carburetor on it that doesn’t appear to have been rebuilt ever, but everything else so far seems to be for a 67 430. It also has been repainted red from the factory ivory gold mist, which I like better, and the original color change had to have been done in 70s or before. While it is disappointing to discover it isn’t numbers matching, I actually feel relieved, because now I can do what I want to it.
I have a good used KB113 I'll sell for 100 plus shipping. You might need to upgrade the springs, I was running the GSCA stage1 springs with it in my Wildcat back in the late 90's I swapped it out for a hemi killer. I liked the KB113 better .
What are the specs on the KB113 cam out of curiosity? If Jose winds up not being interested, I may be.

I also have a new/unused SP2 CAM .501 lift, 235 - 245 duration. If your interested PM me and I can send some pics. Thanks, Mark
This might be more cam than you wanted: https://www.facebook.com/marketplac...4?ref=product_details&referral_code=undefined Not mine, just saw it on FB.
Yep, the other thread has similar tales. I am the 3rd owner of my '69 GS400--I bought it in 1978 after the 2nd owner traded it in at the local Buick dealership. I had always thought the engine was original, even though the original owner had done some performance upgrades on it. When I pulled the engine to rebuild it, I discovered that it's a '69 430. I recently contacted the previous 2 owners--they had posted a desire to track me down, in a "Long shot, but I'm looking for the car of my youth" FB page. I intend to ask them whether the block is what came with the car when new, or if they did a swap back in the 1970s.
There were a lot of swaps done replacing the 400's with 430's back in the days of old for various reasons. Tom T.
Sounds tempting but then again it is a comp cams. I was curious about them but have heard mainly negative things for those cams in our Buicks
Ah! Which cam did you get? I had called earlier in the week and they had no date for restock on all cams
I called and they do have the 212, I was thinking about the TA 284-88H But they both seem similar. Would the 212 be good option for a stock rebuilt 430? Just not sure if the Idle Lope would sound a bit btter than stock. I figured 284 would be the largest I could go without messing with the restof the valvetrain.
