Gent's My wife and I are thinking about mounting a trailer hitch to our baby, so is there any wildcats out there with a factory mounted hitch, if so please chime in, I will need Picts of the mount,in order for it to pass the Danish MOT
If you are going to tow anything even slightly heavy, you may want to invest in some air shocks too. Brakes are another consideration too. 4 wheel drums will fade fast when stopping a load.
All the way through the 70's, everybody towed their camper or boat with a car. Now, at a boat ramp, only trucks are seen. At least here. Rock on!
Not here mate, we only se Toyota, Mazda, now and again a Audi or an Mercedes, our plan is to have our retro camper after the Buick and Do the d-Day Tour, from Normandy to Berlin, as I did with my uncle and father before they parse away, my uncle was a colonel in the Danish special forces and my farther was a Master sergeant in the royal Danish army, I'm currently senior sergeant, also in in the same regiment as my farther, our plan was to participate this year, but my farther passed away last week, rip dad, so in memory of them and also of all the brave men and women that with there sacrifice ensured our way of living. WE SALUTE YOU
I have an original hitch that I took off of my '68 Wildcat convertible. I took a picture with my phone so I'll try and post it for you. It mounts to the frame in two places and in four places on the bumper. Two bolts on the bottom edge of the bumper and two on either side of the license plate frame at the bottom.
Yes I'll post a picture when I'm able-I took it with my cell phone and the reception is weak where I'm at. I haven't been able to upload it to V-8, so I'll try again when I have a better signal on my phone.
No I didn't forget. For some reason I can't get the photo from my phone to upload to the website. Not sure why- sorry.
