I'm looking at buing a dual-sync distributor for my Sequential EFI. The Accel has the best price but i wonder about the type of pickup and quality they normally have.

Anybod have comments about Acccel distributors, the type of pickup they use, or the general quality of their products?

    Adam,
I've never had any luck with Acell products. Years ago, I bought one of their Blueprined HEI's for my 72 Skylark 350. It developed an intermittent no start condition that drove me nuts. Changed everything in the distributor in an effort to track the problem down. Nothing worked, it left me stranded every so often. Finally, I removed the distributor, and replaced the pole piece (pickup coil) Never had a problem after that.

Then, a few years back when I installed my MSD Digital 6 ignition, I used an Acell yellow coil. I painted it black. The MSD ate it in about 4 hours of run time. Left me stranded on a Sunday morning. Tow job back home. Couldn't return the coil because I painted it.

Maybe others have had better luck, but I avoid Acell products. I'd rather pay a little more. Just my .02 :Do No:
