Wow, new member Mike Smith. I seriously doubt you could buy a new Buick 350. You could probably buy a rebuilt Buick 350, but I’ve never heard of any vendor selling new Buick 350s. There are lots of used engines out there for sale. About three years ago my son picked one up from an automotive service center for $200. The owner of the shop said some crazy guy with a Buick Skylark came to his shop and said he wanted the Buick engine out and a Chevy 350 engine in. He changed the engines for him, and then sold the 350 Buick engine on craigslist. When my son went to buy the engine from the shop the owner was laughing. He told my son the Buick engine he took out ran way better than the Chevy engine he put in the Skylark. My son has beat the crap out of this engine for three straight years and it is still running strong. Best $200 he ever spent! Good luck in your search, and welcome to the V8 Buick forum.
What about Jegs rebuilt or re freshed Buick crate engine's? Are they garbage, built to Chevy specs or do they even have them in stock?
I would not trust that jegs vendor ATK to rebuild my lawnmower engine. We used a couple of those when I was at the dealer, pretty sure ATK stand for About To Knock. Both blew up in short order.
Bought a reman 340 short block, was able to salvage the block and crank but had to go .050 over. Depleting old stock sale. Jim
I would offer 1000 https://m.facebook.com/groups/39692...4605967552756/?m_entstream_source=feed_mobile
I think this vendor has been mentioned before: http://www.cmengines.com/se/search.aspx https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/350-crate-engine.335347/#post-2825221
I'd be suspicious why the descriptions for the Olds and Buick 350's are the same, "Lopey idle, 325 HP" Then they describe their 300 HP versions of the two engines......... same thing
Have to admit that it is a hard format to read.. If you scroll down to the 455's they have the same 2 HP versions for the Buick and Olds.. Both with 400 HP 9.5 - 1 "lopey" idle and 425 HP 10 - 1 "choppy" idle. Generic thinking
I purchased a ford 302 from them about ten years ago, no issues. It’s just a stock engine, if remember correctly they don’t warranty the performance crammed engines
