I am about to setup my vacuum pump system and is curious what end of valve cover is best for the suction?
I think I saw a video from Rob Giroux where it looked like there were most oil in the front - am I right?

We ran ours about a 1/3 from the front. On top. I had to do a lot of adjusting and playing w baffles to keep it from sucking too much oil.

I had the header evac system on the Regal. Going with a pump on the Skyhawk and plan on pulling through the same baffled fitting that the old system used through the top rear of the L cover. The one on the R is going to be a metering device to control the amount of vacuume

I had a problem with pulling it from the front of the drivers side cover. Even with a baffle. Had my relief valve on the pass cover. I'm going to get a relief valve to mount directly on the pump to limit the vacuum at the cover.

I have bought a GZ vacuum pump system and the valve is at the pump - but I consider moving the suction to rear of the cover.

I always ran them towards the front because under hard acceleration the oil goes to the rear.

    ^^^^^^ what he said ..^^^^^
And a good baffle also ...SRE valve covers on mine with an excellent baffle by Steve when he made them ..I did drill a small 1/8 hole in it to get a slight amount of oil into the pump for my liking

Adam, funny you mention giving the GRZ pump a little oil for lubrication. I do the same thing!
