    buick vanity mirror.
slide on type with buick script in cursive.
I purchased this brand new from a dealership back in the early 90s. I no longer have the packaging as it was pretty ratty.
I had it in my '71 skylark for a brief time, the mirror is as new.

    $75 shipped/paypalled.

I have a similar Buick vanity mirror that is just like new and I listed it on this forum as well but cannot remember what I listed it for - possibly the same as you are asking but got no "interest at all from the forum members. These are on Ebay all the time - some versions of this optional item are rare and I have never seen one like yours. I always check out Ebay to see what things like this are going for to get some idea of an asking price.

    agreed.
I had another with the same script, which was very clean but not nos . I listed it here last year with no takers, and as I was pulling it from the attic for pictures, it slipped out of my hand and it broke in about 20 pieces..
quite embarrassing actually as that's never happened before....7 years bad luck I suppose :)

I seldom sell parts here.. lots of pms and emails.. then off to ebay ...

this forum at least to me, is more of a GS forum, and the mirror I suppose to a degree is more of a B body car item...though they were options on the gs cars.

I've had a bunch of the button type installation mirrors with "buicks are a beauty too" on them... havent seen any for a while now, then again I'll readily admit I am for all intents done messing with old cars/parts.

there is no market these days for either,as these cars have clearly hit a wall generation gap wise , with todays kids wanting 4 bangers with loud mufflers and GM scraping NOS parts at a fever pitch...

I'd love to sell my convert and the boat load of NOS parts with it... lost interest plain and simple...I'll explore some better avenues than car forums this summer to do so.

You should look into military vehicles as a hobby. That's why I am selling off all of my 66 & 67 Skylark parts because I lost interest in the car that I had (66 Skylark 2 door HT) even though it was a wonderful road car with the best power steering system out of all the cars I have ever owned. You may be right about this forum being predominant towards the GS but there are still people out there who need a part or two for their Skylarks or Specials. I really get the impression that most forums like this have members who always "want a deal" or "want it for free". I have had better luck selling my parts on Craig's List than on Ebay or this forum. The person who just bought my back seat (for the 66 Skylark Convertible) used a search engine called jaxed where you go to Google and put what you are looking for in front of the word jaxed (in his case he used the acronym GTO and it led him right to my Craig's List ad - I put lots of "key words" in my listing like "442", "GTO", "Lemans", "Chevelle", etc. I would bet you could easily find a buyer for your vanity mirror on Craig's List because not everybody who owns a vintage Buick is a member of this forum.
