I hope to, but I'll have to wait and see how much "work" I've got waiting on me that weekend, and how "fiscally" challenged I am.

Christmas is what- 6 weeks away?:Dou:

Well, I replaced the header gasket tonight (drivers side), so it looks like it's a go for tomorrow. Hoping for a 8.0 or 8.1 on street tires

Dwayne, Jim L. are you guys in?

Need to go 64W to 421N to I 85/40 to avoid NC State's last home game traffic.

Man just too much going on for me to go!

    Man I hate it.

I went in June and it was a blast to see all the Carolina Chapter members.

Jim L. and I met at the McDonalds at 64 and Lake Pine in Cary/Apex. We had some fun on the way... With Jim's red and black convertable we got lots of looks (even when we were going slow). The weather was great ~75 degrees and sunny, I should have borrowed Jim's straw hat to avoid the red neck syndrome. Larry and Karen, John and Terri, Tim I., his dad, and others were there. I'd guess there were (~9) `68 to `73's there and twenty or more V6 turbo's (T-Types, GN's, Cyclones and Typhoon's). Little dissapointed in the Buick turnout, specially the old school cars.

The track was great with good traction. My "best yet" 60' on my last run was 1.808 on TA radials. Seems everyone had slicks, man am I behind the times. My car seemd to hesitate just after launch a bit but ran several 8.1's, I'm happy with that (for now).

It was nice to meet Tim I. and his family, too bad we never got lined up against each other. That would have been a good race.

Thanks to John, Larry and others for judging the participants in the car show, and congrats to John for getting his car ready (late last night) to make the event, it sounded strong.

I'm talking with a few Buick buddies in the Nashville TN area about riding out and watching.

Will there be a TURNOUT worth coming for??? (a few 100 cars we'd expect to make this trip)

Will there be many FAST Buicks there?? (10.00s or faster from Buick STREET CARS)

May bring a buddy that's a Chevy guy and if I can't show him some FAST "Buick" street cars i'll NEVER here the end of it.

Here is a pic of his 9 sec street car/truck

Would not come that far for it . It is an 1/8 mile and the Buicks are outnumbered by Mustangs and Cameros. Not solely a Buick event.

I saw Richie Kebler make a 140mph/5.0 pass carrying the front wheels most of the way. Having said that you will be disappointed with this event relative to Bristol or BG.
