  2. Dave,

Good to see you back on V8Buick and HAMB. When will you be addressing the $3,200 I had to spend to re-rebuild the engine you meticulously handcrafted for me and claimed it had a warranty against everything but leaks?

I offered to fix it, got no reply. Check your email. On top of that, any part of that rebuild was caused by you. Carb issues, distributor issues, etc. All at break in. I offered help, but you just threatened me and in the end, didn't respond. $3200 is nothing if I add back in the time and lost money on the cracked blocks issue I guess you forgot about that.

  5. David Gaines, bottom line up front is that you did a poor job. I don't know what you were going through at the time, and my heart goes out to you and your family, but you failed miserably, and then ghosted me. I know if you had any money to make it right, you wouldn't need to be on a Nailhead forum selling parts. Just please retire from engine building. It is just not in your wheel house.

You did write an an interesting reply. Could you let me know which day and time you sent this e-mail offering a fix? As someone who has to check their e-mail constantly throughout the day, it is odd that I missed it. If I did, I'll be the first person to publicly apologize. What I do know is that all your e-mails have ever said is "call me", but David, every time I did, it went to your full voicemail. If you were so apt to help, I wonder why you didn't reach back out on voice, text, Instagram, or any of my other contact information that hasn't changed. There has been a forum post since 2019 about this build. Why didn't you defend your honor there? Do you remember when you were diagnosing my head, and wouldn't return my phone call or e-mail, and only finally responded after I had to call your customer, the machine shop, for an update? Victor was very surprised. I guess you forgot about that?

I find it interesting that you are blaming me for an obviously failed build, in multiple ways. I do remember before I removed the head you attempted to blame the failed cylinder as I possibly "washed" the cylinder down, and stated there wouldn't be any hone left in that cylinder. The teardown and the pictures provided to you showed a perfect hone in it. You rebuild my ignition system to the tune of $300. You also realize the entire break-in process was documented and has been on YouTube since 2019? Where are all the comments showing what a terrible job I did during break in? It is still on YouTube in its entirety. You've seen the video. Tell me at what time in the video I did something wrong, because you didn't say anything about it in 2019.

I'm interested in how I threatened you. I don't mind you posting a screenshot on a public forum if I did. Please let me know.

I'm also interested in how you have time and lost money on my original block having a crack in it. All my paperwork shows I'm the one that paid for liftgate service from your machine shop to Turlock, California to have the experts look at it. I was the one that offered to pay a crating fee. I'm the one that got assessed an extra freight fee because you didn't provide a weight that was even in the ballpark of accurate, and then, I purchased a Nailhead core from you for $400. You kept a set of heads, intake manifold, oil pan, pickup, crankshaft, and intake. I paid for all the machine work on the core engine. Please let me know how you came to a loss, and at the figure described.
