Buick 350 (X-Body) Frame Engine Mounts

I am doing an Olds 260 to Buick 350 engine swap in a 1975 Skylark SR. It appears that Olds and Buick had different frame engine mounts so I am in need of the frame engine mounts for a Buick 350.

I am not sure on years (I am pretty sure that 74 and 75 will work but do not know outside of that). The skylark SR was an X-Body so hopefully that helps.

Let me know if anyone around here has them!

If the 350 frame pads sit the engine to high than you will have to go with the Buick odd-fire v6 frame pads and poly v6 engine mounts.

I have ones from a 73 350 Century if that will work for you.

    Hi Fernando,
Could you post some pictures of the frame pads, please? I am still trying to figure out what I need.

It looks like the Century and the Skylark were different body types but I am not sure if that matters or not.

    Thanks

    Yeah the 73 was a A body and the 74 was a X body

When swapping a Buick 350 into a G body the 3.8 v6 mounts/brackets are needed for correct engine height. The frame pads/brackets should be the same from anything with a Buick 3.8 or 4.1 (p/n 1257796 RH, 1257797 LH) except the H body, so my guess is that the X body will need 3.8 mounts as well.

The 3.8 was very common in the 80s G bodies, so you might have luck finding someone who’s ditched the v6 for an LS or something.

    Thanks for the response everyone.

Fernando: Let me know when you get a chance to dig them out and could you post a couple pictures?

78Regal: Where are you getting those part numbers? Are those for mounts or the frame pads? I am starting to think that Buick frame pads (either V6 or 350) would work for my application. I have another post about the V6 frame pads too. So hopefully I am able to shake something loose.

here is a pic of what I have, sorry but I was wrong on the pads I have. I thought I had small blocks but they say BB (bigblock). I don't think they will work for you. Others mention you need V6 ones and I believe they would work for you. IMG_0001.JPG

alverracing, thanks for digging those out, but I believe that you are correct that those will not work for a 350.

BrunoD: Thanks for digging them out. I did get a set of V6 pads but if I can find the 350 pads then I would like to have them as well. I know you said it looked like one set was taller than the other, but I am not quite sure which one I would need. I am trying to put my rebuild 350 into a 75 Skylark, so whichever set of frame pads would work best for that application I will probably snag them from you.

I have a pair of 350 frame pads. I believe they were either out a skylark or a lesabre. I have the mounts out of both and they look the same so I'm not sure which is which.
