For over a year I've been working on producing a main girdle for the 350 Buick.
I believe there is a need for one now that guys are pro- charging and turbo charging the 350 and getting great hp numbers, some as high as 1000.
This plus the introduction of a single plane manifold and aluminum heads from TA will create some high winding 350's.

Heres some pics of the finished product. There are 4 more that are rough cut and will be available shortly.
If you are interested in a girdle contact me at:

looks nice . I suggest a slot or oil drain holes for oil slinger/timing chain area just in front of first main. and for rear main just inside of rear seal

Gary, nice work. Is it pinned anywhere or tight fit to the studs holding it? Do the main caps need to be milled for install?

I am planning on installing an O-ring groove on the bottom and an O-ring to seal against the block, pan to girdle will get a pan gasket.

I am working on the girdle in my un-heated garage so progress has come to a stand still until the weather get better like 45*F or warmer. To hard to do that kind of work with stay warm gloves on my hands. Will probably be drilling to install some heavy metal slugs in a crank the next couple of days though in a heated shop.(wood stove)

The block and girdle are milled flat, so only a very light coating of silicone is required.
Thats what I still do on TA big block girdle on my race motors without problems.

Oh yeah, and I didn't have the luxury of getting the windows burned out, I had to cut them out manually on my mill.

To make the print I had the block bolted and indicated in to the table on the Bridgeport and I indicated every hole, good thing I at least have a digital readout! Milled the caps bolted to the block while the block was bolted down on the mill. I milled the pan rail so it was consistent with the milled caps, oh yeah a whole lot of work and a lot to go.(fun stuff)

I am interested in a girdle, but for a 300 witch has narrower main stud placement from my understanding. If you could machine accordingly and produce a price I'd be in.

If everything else is the same we could relocate the main bolt holes on one of the 4 blanks we have left..

    Gary,

I am relatively certain everything else is the same. I believe the 350 pan bolts on to the 300, and I know the bore and main bearing spacing is the same.

If you could give me a price for a girdle with the aforementioned stud spacing as well as the rear and front main drains it would be greatly appreciated.

I would feel a lot more comfortable if I had a 300 block here to fit the girdle to,or at least a template of what you have.I'd
hate to send you something that doesn't work.
Maye you could find someone in this area that would lend me a bock?
