I have 3 aluminum intakes for a 300. I would like to find out what years they are for and if they are rare:

    1) 2 barrel #1358504 AA M2
    2) 4 barrel #1359122 S M1
    3) 4 barrel # 1359122 V M2

I would also like to know is there a differance between the manifolds on an aluminum head or steel head engines or are they inter-changable. I think the motor is a1965, it has a 2 barrel but I can not read the code on the block. Is there any way to tell the difference between the 300 & 340 besides that number???

    Thanks

If you have aluminum intakes for a Buick 300, they are all from one year... 1964. 65-67 intakes were cast iron and the 300 had a cast iron 4bbl intake in 1965 only.

The aluminum heads and intake from 64 had smaller ports than the 65-67 cast iron heads and intake. The aluminum intake was water heated while the cast iron ones were heated by exhaust gas.

Ports on the cast iron heads are larger than the aluminum ones.
