Looking for a set of 300 ci headers. New or used is ok by me.

Please let me know what you have.
    Thanks.

IMHO a mistake....the 300 has very good flowing cast exhaust manifolds from the factory,,,, just port match them to your heads, install some big exhaust pipes, mufflers, and tail pipes and the engine will run just as good and you will not have rust out, bending, rubbing, breakage, ratteling and exhaust leaks and repeated tightening sessions like with tube headers.... go with 2 1/4 pipes and mufflers and tailpipes.....works good.....

Is This REALLY JOE? I thought the New Woman must have cut you off at the knees. Glad to see you're still in One piece. Or are you? I know I don't post much on here anymore but it's good to hear from you again. You could also reply to some of my e-mails too Punk.
Brian, I ported out my stock Exhaust Manifolds with a port match to my ported exhaust runners. Also opened up the outlet as much as I could. I run a 2 1/2" exhaust. The standard Jegs exhaust kit for A-Body's cost only 180 if I remember right. You'll have to lay them out and cut where needed. I took the pieces to Midas Muffler to have the intake side expanded. No Cost. I had to use the TA 350 Down Pipes for my 350 tho. The Jegs pipes come with a Header cone that can just be cut off and expanded. It comes with hangars, Mufflers and clamps. Three Years now and no problems. PITA to put in tho.

Doc I just wanted headers for the sound and look. They would be going on my 65 Sportwagon. I aready have keaky manifold gaskets and figured I would just try to find headers if I'm lucky prior to getting new exhaust. We shall see what happens.

Yes Joe.................headers my man and I know you have some in your garage!

Ponch -thanks for the tips also. I think I may try my luck at porting too also on the heads and intake. It's cast iron so it will take some time and energy and bits.

Well, if you find nothing else Sanderson says thier 340 headers will "fit most 300s". :Do No:

    Bill,

I've seen those but that will be my last option most likely.

Yea Ponch, it's me and i'm ok. Just been doing more reading than posting. Since my ride has been down since last April, I wasn't really feeling the Car Spirit lately. But my new trans should be here any day and I now have a Tri Shield 9.5 in converter to use. I think my last GER was way too lose and thats why I kept blowing it up.

Brian, I still have them and if they do ever leave here, they would only go to you. Not sure if I want to let em go just yet.

Well,,, like I said the stock exhaust manifolds flow as good as a set of shorty headers... but Buick restricted the exhaust by going to smaller pipes the further you get toward the back of the car.... you make the most performance gains by making the head pipes , the muffler in's and out's the same size and the tail pipes the same size as the rest of the pipes..... 2'' is actually sufficent, but bigger is gravy.... over 2 1/2 on a 300 engine is a waste of money.....
