I recently contacted Legendary Auto Interiors and Y1 about a brown vinyl top for my 70 Skylark project.I am not concerned with correctness of the top I just want to put a dark brown top on it instead of the gold that it originally came with.This car is a collaboration of several cars and parts and is being built as a daily cruiser and transportation.Those companies cannot help me out and I really do NOT want to have a black top(yuck) on this Bamboo Cream car.It has a 71 GS saddle interior in it and I want either brown or possibly gold top to put back on it so it looks a little better.Does anyone know of a company that I can contact that may be of help???Will one from another A body be able to be fitted??? While I am on the subject,I also need a saddle headliner and carpet..Any suggestions? Legendary asked for a sample or the headliner and its on the way to them.Like I said, year correctness isn't a factor, after all,I only have 23 bucks in it so far.I hope to have it runable by july.Thanks,Pat
Check out my car under member' rides @ www.buickperformance.com Same yellow as your car. Used a local glass / upholstery shop. Sample board had a generic colour chart with a couple browns. While the grain/texture is not right, it seems to get the job done. Not much selection for colours anywhere.
i have dk brown top on mine.my opinion gold would be ugly .but thats my opinion.whats up steve nice car :grin:
Seems every day last Summer was dark & cloudy. Here is a better shot of the brown against the yellow.
