Browell Bellhousing Alignment Tool

Discussion in 'U-shift em' started by Paul Massicotte, Nov 8, 2010.

  1. Thought I'd share this tool I found while trying to align my bellhousing last month.

I bought it from Browell Bellhousing. Works a lot better than the dial base indicator method.

I had to order it machined for a Buick crank (2.480).

Install on the crank, install your bellhousing, slide the ring down into the bellhousing, if it fits, you're good. If not, see where your gap is, install off set dowel pins in that direction, and recheck the ring fits through the bellhousing.

Paul thanks for this great info.

You can order this machined down to fit the Buick crank from Browell?

I thought you had it modified on your own after you purchased.

  3. When I called, they asked me what it was for. They needed the diameter before they would ship it.
