Drivers side of trans crossmember came out of rubber and slid back. Looks like the ends of this crossmember have been cut down slightly, too short to hold well barely sits inside rubbers. Going to get a stock chevelle style bolt in one or aftermarket instead of rubber ends. Don't know for sure that this caused trans to break or trans broke and it came apart after? The only thing that looks suspect though. Chevelle bolt in says 53.5 inches center of bolt to bolt and that's what the frame measures so it's not bent out wider or something odd. Should just pull mine out of my car and compare bet mines longer
Previous owner/someone may have cut it because they did not know how to put it in place correctly, and that may we'll have caused your problem if it moved and dropped out and no longer supporting the tail of the transmission.
Now that you may have found the smoking gun, look at the tunnel above the tail shaft and see if there’s any evidence of the trans lifting up and hitting
