OK, well, if there are any repairs that look hacked, it wasn't me....although I am partly responsible for the yellow dipstick.
Maybe got painted? Looks like some work was done since I saw it last, that was close to 17 years ago. Guy by the name of Frank Burl used to own it, if it's the same car. I don't remember the valve covers looking that nice, or the shiny booster/master. His wife drove it, he had a white 70 GSX.
I think you got a pretty good deal trading your Challenger for that GS convertible! Glad to see you back on track!
Is that what I did? lol. Yeah, now I sorta remember that. Sent the heads to a local machine shop for the valve job, can't remember if we had to machine the manifolds, but I distinctly remember painting the dipstick yellow as a joke so it would match his fords. That way he knew where to look to check the oil haha.
Im going to "jasonize" it. Go over the car cosmetically and mechanically. Get it ready for summer and use it. Goes in for a new top next week!
I polished out the fender today just to see how it would come out. Man, this thing is gonna look awesome cleaned up. What a difference. The plan is to give it a good scrubbing and polish it all up on Saturday. Then take a few pics for you guys. Currently I'm in service mat hell printing labels for the last remaining mats. The last batch is going out tomorrow. So everyone's order should be filled
Oh and the first thing I ripped off the car was that aluminum pre heater tube. God that thing looked awful. It was mocking me.
Good man....I would have done the same....I only would have removed it sooner, before I put her on the trailer....and then thrown it away at the first rest stop or gas stop. Congrats! The car is in great hands.
