Brake Backing Plate Finish - 66 Wildcat

    Does anybody know what the correct finish is for the backing plates for a 66 Wildcat? It has drum brakes. Mine are pretty filthy, but appear to be gray???
    If anybody knows, please post and let me know.

    If they are the same size as a GS and/or use the same process it is a zinc cad or silver cad finish.

    If it matters, my full size 71 had no hint of gold cad coating...only a galvanized look to it. (after I rubbed all the gunk off it.)
