This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Is a Stock 71 Skylark with a 72 455 and TH400, a good bracket racer? :Comp:

A Chevy Chevette can be a good bracket car if the combination is right. Consistancy is the ticket in bracket racing.

Is the '72 motor/TH-400 stock? Does it have the stock rear end? It all depends, really. It's all in the combonation when you get right down to it. If the '72 455/400 combo is stock and you have the stock rear end, it should run some decent times, but it depends. If you run it in the quarter I would estimate it being somewhere in the lower/or mid 14's, assuming everything the motor/trans is healthy! :3gears: :TU:

As long as it is consistent, then it's a great bracket racer. If that's the case, then the person behind the wheel is the liability.

Set up the car so that it hooks every time, shifts at the same shift points, and you can cut a good light - then you've got a good bracket racer.
