I was told it was a Florida car to start with the sold to a Oklahoma resident. I purchased and brought to Arkansas. Vin # 446370H18291 Just trying to learn as much as I can about it. Automatic Transmission has been changed to a TH200R4. I have the numbers matching Transmission that came with car. It has headers and flow master exhaust on it. Where can I search information about the vin number?
The VIN tells you it’s a ‘70 GS455 built in Flint. It looks like you’re missing a digit after the H, it’ll give a vague idea of when it was built. Your trim tag under the hood will tell you a lot more-interior color and type, paint color, roof color if it’s painted or vinyl. The original transmission code (BA, BB) will tell you if the car is a Stage 1, as will the engine if it’s original. If you can find a build sheet or get papeerwork (from whom depends on the build date/VIN) that will tell you options, rear gear ratio, etc. Welcome! Post pics! 11C the car was built in November (11th month) 1969 3rd week (A= 1st week, B = 2nd week and so on) of that month
Nice looking car! Contact Sloan to get the report being that it's an early '70. I understand their staffing/turnaround time is limited right now. The report will tell you exactly what options it originally had, the dealership it was sold to, invoice price/date, etc. Well worth the $.
