As we're getting ready to leave the track for the nite, Roy (NE guy who owned a GN and hung out with Moon ... used to sell the Videos) says to wait for him as he needs a ride, but he's got to run up to the tower for a few mins to interview RL for the video. Moon and I wait ... and wait ... and wait and finally after about 45 min's and almost EVERYONE gone from the track, we rumble BigRed over to the tower and go looking for Roy - Tower's locked up solid with no sight of Roy. We cruise the pits and parking lot a few times not wanting to strand our friend but he's nowhere to be found so finally we make the track back to the Hollidome. When we get back, Moon opens his room door and there's Roy crashed out on the bed !! :spank::rant: I kick him and say "WTF ?!?!?" we waited over an hour for you ... "Oh ... I forgot you were waiting and caught a ride back with someone else" OOoooKaaaay ... So, we all get cleaned up and dressed for dinner and meet back outside - Top down, Moon hops in the back of Bigred and Roy gets shotgun. Back then, parking was premo, so we used to mark our spot with a cone or spare tire or something ... I tell Roy to hop out and put my cone in the spot when I pull out and he does. As he's about to get in, I let her rip and do a huge burnout leaving him in a cloud of smoke. As the smoke clears and he waddles on over I say " ... Leave ME waiting an hour at the track for you ?!?!" and Let her rip again out of the parking lot onto Scottsdale Ave and zoom off. After a few lights I turn around and head back to the hotel where he's standing there like a lost puppy at the curb ... So I pull up and let him in and off to Smokey Bones we go. After good food and a few :beer we walk out into the parking lot laughing and goofing and we see this sign hanging ... JUST like the one WildBill is selling. Moon says "that'd look GREAT hanging from the banister at the Holidome !!" so I hand Roy my pocket knife and tell him "You cut it down and I'll get BigRed and pull around for a quick get away :Brow: He's sawing at the rope and moon and I go get BigRed and pull around just as he's trying to be sly and stuff it under his Jacket ... checking left and right to make sure nobody saw him ... and Just as he's about to get in BigRed I let her rip into a massive burnout and pull out into the night saying "Yeah ... Leav ME waiting at the track !!" :laugh: :laugh: I circled back about 5 more times teasing him as he'd approach my car ... finally I thought Moon was going to pass out from laughing so hard so I let him in p
