I went to this in the past and had a great time. Saw some sweet cars there and the track was great. I am hoping more Buicks show up this year. But then again i think we ALL want to see more Buicks out. Just wondering if anyone else is planning on going?
It's a maybe for me. A group of friends are going over, mostly with GTOs, and we had planned to go along. It's about 100 miles from here so it should be a nice drive. My only issue is that I've heard that there isn't much for concrete or blacktop at that track, mostly dirt or sand which is a problem because my wife is in a wheelchair the place doesn't sound like it's very wheelchair friendly. Can anyone who's been there shed some light on this for me? Her power chair works great in those situations but I have no way of hauling it over there with the Buick. No trailer hitch for the carrier
We'll be there....been going for the last 10 years or so, one of my favorite events of the year. There's 5 or 6 from Chicago going also. Bill, they have a large paved pit area but that fills up quick, I'd call the track and see if they could reserve a spot for you. The track seems like it would be fairly easy to navigate with a chair.
I don't plan to race. We're just going to enjoy the cruise over there with a bunch of friends. As far as I know none of us is going to race but we'll be watching for sure. If you see my `65 there, stop in and say Hi. It's sporting painted wheels and poverty caps this year.
