Had this BPO bellhousing for yrs, pulled it out to take a good look at it n discovered the starter hump is on the drivers side only. Bolt holes line-up. Accumulating 4 speed parts for a conversion. I have a mini-starter installed. Is there going to be an issue with this bellhousing? Do I need the starter hump on the passengers side since, well thats where the starters located? Going on a 455 in my Lark. Thanks Denis
Ok part #9783111. If this is an Oldsmobile only bellhousing does anyone want to trade this for a BOP bellhousing? Doesn"t hurt to ask...o No: Denis
post a pic..sounds like a monza clone style bell, like a on a v-6 or small v8..where is the hole for the fork..at 9 oclock or more like 7....
9783111...... is not olds its 66-69 Pontiac Over Head Cam 6 manual trans..978 means its actually a 66 thats why the starter knob is in a weird spot..its OHC only...after i thought about it i looked at the one i had and its the same part number..i actually took it off the car.....its an aluminum paper weight..and thats about it...
