I sent this Buick guy my money on July 7, 2010 for a set of h-beam rods....and am still waiting....I get excuses but no parts. Yeah I talk with the guy( a good thing), but nothing happens. So before I go on with details I am stuck in limbo....and he wanted me to order my pistons from him while I waited for the rods, yeah right. Does anyone have suggestions? I dont want to hear any "pat on the back-hes a good guy" stories either. He may be a good guy but this is my first impression of him.

I bought a set of lifters and valve springs from him several months ago. I sent the paypal for the parts and didn't get them and got no response from emails or PM's for several weeks. I was getting nervous but I finally did get a response and then the parts so it all turned out fine for me.

The first link is a good read and not too long either. It seems that your seller is walking a very fine line and could be prosecuted for it. The part about keeping something of value - even for a short time - could be considered felony theft.

I am in the process of forwarding e-mail correspondence to a Detective in Jackson, Tennessee because of a similar situation.

Try contacting the local LEO's in his home town and see if you can file a complaint, that is what I had to do - it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Good luck and keep us posted! These internet sellers need to learn the difference between good and bad business practices. :spank:

There is also an issue of Interstate Commerce laws being violated in these situations that could be brought into play.

60 days? That is way too long. File charges.

UPDATE: I have been communicating with Booster boy on a daily basis since I posted this....I am scheduled to get my rods this Thursday and I get my tracking info tomorrow. He will be throwing in some rod bearings and neoprene seals at no cost for my inconvenience... I even spoke with him twice today.
As I posted earlier...communication is a good thing in these situations. I am typically slow to anger with a point of no return once truly crossed, but I have decided not to give out a name and a number as others have had good dealings with this boardmember. Yes I changed my tune...it is easy to be critical and even easier to discredit ones self. I will keep everyone posted.

    Re: BoosterBoy follows through

Per subject title...Boosterboy follows through. He got me my tracking info per previoust post and the rods arrived this afternoon with the bearings and seals so after the dust settled he kept his word and all is well that ends well:beer.
Yes it took some time but If I have occasion to buy from him again I would, in fact we had so much communication during this transaction that I learned some interesting engine building pointers about the 455 and am encouraged to call anytime I have a tech question. This guy is a serious engine builder and never went into hiding and always returned calls...cant stress how much that counts out in my book.
