Hi to the board, I have a Skylark Custom 2door 350/350, 4 Barrel, 1970/7, since 2 years or so and I am inspired by all the threads about cowl tag an VIN. Now I took a look on my Body plate and VIN and I am a bit confused. Can anyone help with Decoding this stuff ????

    VIN

444370Z124xxx, means Skylark Custom 2 door Hardtop Coupe, build in Fremont, CA, right ???

    Body Tag

ST70-44437 BF 06801 BDY , means Style 1970, Skylark Custom Coupe, build BF ?????, Body number 6801 by Fisher

    TR179 B80 58A PNT
    , means trim burnished saddle (????), B80 ?????, 58 (Gold????), A ?????

    06E 488176 040183, means what ???????, 06E (fifth week of June 1970???)

I am a little bit confused, because the VIN says Fremont build, but in the cowl tag "BF", or is "BF" the Fisher plant, not the assembly plant ???

The car is now Grey with black interior, but I think, this is not original.

Please help with Decoding, I am very interested in the cars history.

And .... Grey is better than Gold, no Vinyl top is better for rust, black is better than Brown interior. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! Does anyone know about the last row of numbers ????
