i have come across a used block girdle, but the main studs are missing.just wondering if a set of standard arp studs will work or are the ones that came with the girdle originaly were longer.just trying to figure out cost before i make an offer.thanks in advance.
thanks.i was hoping i could use the brand new ones i just bought (standaed arp),but it looks like i'll have phone ta & price out a new set.hope they're not too expensive.going to go look at girdle tommorow.3 1/2 hr ride each way.what a person will do to get high-po buick parts in canada,eh.
I have a set of brand new TA Girdle studs, I didn't use them because I also added on the halo girdle, those studs are even longer. I have know use for them, lets make a deal, I'm not sure what they would cost new, I'll look into that. If your interested, let me know. Gary G (in CA)
i went & looked at the block girdle today & found it to be a homemade one that was made of 1" square steel welded together.covered only the middle 3 main caps.had a modified stock oil pan made to fit, including dry sump fittings.looked like something that could have been made 20 yrs ago.was in a 10 sec 71 gs a one time.did not buy it,but would probably still be around if a person wanted it. thanks for the offer of the studs, but if i go to a girdle i'll probably just buy the whole thing from ta.....need more $$$$$$...but don't we all.
