I ran across a guy talking about this spacer and thought I would get your thoughts on it . It doesn't look anything like the wilson or the hvh spacers.

they say in their blurb on it that they gain an average of 10-12 over an engine with no spacer. But they say nothing about what the difference is vs a regular open or 4-hole spacer.

I think that a LOT of $$$ for that. If you want a spacer, buy one that's about 1/4 the price and I bet you'll see similar results within 2-3 HP. You can get a good 2" carb spacer at Summit Racing for about $30-$40.

I think it was this months issue of car craft they compared open type vs closed type vs one that was closed but tapered. all had gains but in different areas.

I think the computer designed spacers will give you a little more power than that, the harder you turn it and the more air you flow. check out what big Doug picked up. that takes more than 2-3 hp.

Ok I called ADP about this spacer this is what they told me. They stated that Matt Driskell of Driskell enterprises was testing different set ups with spacers and came up with his own design that made more power than all others that was tested including HVH and Wilson spacers. Together they tweaked the design until they had the best possilbe one. He did state that it depended on the combination and that it did better on the larger motors 500 cid up. It made about 5 to 7 hp over the next best spacer. Since BBB make power and torque of much bigger motors and love larger carbs and have plenty of port velocity I was thinking this would be a good spacer to try.
It is about 50 bucks more than what I was planing on going with (HVH).
:idea2: Maybe I'll buy it and send it to Jim W for dyno testing.
