Coming home from a cruise this eve, top down, 8 track playing, enjoying life, a couple young ricers came screaming up on my tail in a riced out to the 9's Honda on a four lane and just hung there. I was doing about 65 or so and they kept coming up on the bumper even though it was a 4 lane and they could have come around easily. Well, I touched the brakes on one of there see how close they could get to the big old Buicks rear bumper manuevers and they slammed on the brakes. A few seconds later they screamed up along side me a screamed "Hoggy Landbarge" - Well!!! they can insult me all they want, but not my Buick - I opened up the fours kicked it down and waived goodbye - this car loves that particular range and takes off like cat with it's tail on fire. A couple miles later as the Buick Gods would make it, there was a beautiful stoplight that was turning red. They caught up and pulled along side of me and where making cruede comments - the light turns green, I look over and yell"fxxxxxg Piss Ant" (sorry only thing I could think of that quick)mashed the gas and held it there till I was doing about 95 and they where history. I while later they came flying past me once I was cruising again and yelled , I just saluted them with the eagle. Many don't realize how the "big old Buicks" can kick ass also.:3gears: :Brow:
Good kill, keith. If ricers knew what horsepower and TORQUE meant(which is the big reason why the "big buicks" can kick some serious butt), they would be some tuff cars, but since they have little of both, they are not that great. The only thing ricers have that can make them go is the light weight of their cars and the nitrous they blow there cars up with. I don't race them that often because i figure it's a waste of gas, but they are kind of fun to embarass them. Nice kill anyway:3gears: :beer :TU: -Cody
a friendly bet i know it may be a long time away but i just couldn help but to spread the news. a friend of mine who owns an import, made a bet wit me tonite, for those who know me on here, knows that my car isnt running just yet. i plan on making mods to the motor to get the most availible torque out of it. he bet me 50 bucks he can beat me n a race by next summers end (so we can get both cars done) n my terms where, i get to drive him around in his import all through these towns wit kids who only own imports, n he has to hold a sign out the window reading (i hate imports, buicks rule). it is times like these i wish my car was running.
A great kill, they all need to know what Buick means. It seems that the fast and furious has gotten into their brains that it can beat any muscle cars. Ha fat chance, the only way it can be a buick is if you have a car from the movie with all those mods. I saw the fast and furious last night and in the end it was vin diesle's old muscle car against that paul walker's ricer, and his car kept up with the (charger I think) only with nitrous.
I am in a rare position I have my buick skylark and and looking to get a second and I have a Mazda Protege 5 which Ive done a little work to and after driving both I love going to car shows where the little rice boys are talking trash to the muscle car guys (mostly adults) they laugh at the ricers then they ask me for what I think... I tell the ricers about the time I beat a civic with a 73 buick skylark 350 2 barrel that was only runng on 7 of 8 cylnders.... nothing like seeing the cocky rice boys cry
I watched fast n the furious last night too, the supra only kept up after the nos becuase the charger blew the motor, and even though he was racing, vin had enough room to floor it some more, and even downshift!... so that makes the supra what? a 14 second car without the nos?
That supra had some good power for a big POS, but it's ashame that vin wrecked the charger and blew the motor..........after all, it was supposed to be a 9 second car in the 1/4. Oh well, i guess i'll have to watch 2fast2furious.........supposed to have more american cars in it......advertised, it had a yenko camaro and a Cobra R:Brow: -Cody
It has a yenko and a charger. In one scene the charger or the yenko beat the ricer car. Dont want to tell you the ending if you haven't seen it before.
In the "scramble to get the rich guys package", there's a cobra r, corvette, yenko (69) camaro, 70' challenger, assorted rice and some other cars. They end up getting to drive the yenko+challenger about 2/3 of the way through since they need "fast cars", they also get them by cheating, bleh.
