Looking for or to have one made a manual steering gearbox for a 70 Wildcat. It appears power steering was standard equipment on the big cars (I could be wrong).

Interesting note is: a 3 spd manual trans was standard equip. on the 70 Cats, but for N/C you could opt for the auto trans. Anyone ever see a manual trans 70 Cat? would be a rare one for sure.

    Thanks, Tom

I thought no one would ever ask!

I had one in the early 80's-- a convertible at that!

It was a no option car-- and it did have power steering, but manual brakes, and it had the 455 (an SF code I'm sure). I must assume that the 455 was standard on the Wildcat and the 350 on the LeSabre-- do you know?

455's were standard equip on the Wildcats, Rivieras and Estate Wagons. Since the LeSabre could be had with a 350 or 455, the 350 was the base engine..........No P/B!! that was a no option vehicle, wow. Did it have radio delete and rubber floor mats....LOL.

It did have an AM radio, and I can't remember if it had a rubber floor, but I think it had carpet. Maybe carpet was standard on the *upscale* Wildcat!!
