Ordered new saddle colored seat covers for my front electric split bench for my 71 Skylark Custom.

I'm stoked, this is a nice piece of vinyl. Perfect color match too.

Now to find someone who can install it perfectly.

I was referred to a guy who works out of his house....he just had surgery and cannot do the job for a couple months.

    Do it yourself.
I did my bucket seats myself and they came out great.
    Just take your time.

Yeah the kits are nearly brainless. There is a new shop that just come in near me last Fall. www.topstitchinteriors.com looks pretty spendy, but appears to be good work.

I've checked with 3 local places....they all quoted me "around 300 bucks"

I don't think $300 is out of line.

Check with Mark's Upholstery in O'Fallon. 636-281-4959 ...he does nice work.

On my 69 Riv I paid $800 for two front buckets, including material. They had to transfer all the square buttons too.

So $300-500 labor for good work is not out of line.

    Adam,

Where are you in St. Charles? My mom lives off Kingshighway towards downtown.....

I am in Weldon Spring, West off 94. About 10-15 minutes from downtown St. Charles.

I think I have an idea of that area. Perhaps on a future trip south we could connect....

    Thanks everyone.
I've checked with the local shop as well as all the recommendations made here....
When I get the car home, it's still engine-less, I'll pull the seat out and see what I'm up against.
If I don't do it, and I don't see that happening, I'm going to stick with the guy I was originally referred to, he was the least expensive.
