Not sure what you would call them, the seals on the outside of the doors and quarter panel that in stainless and rubber ate the door and quarter glass. I don't think I could find them NOS, nice to see that it is the same as a Chevelle.
Looks like a company call Repops is doing well, made here, need a good supplier. CH197A is the part number.
Chevelle is close, and our only option but you're gonna need to work with them to get them to sit nicely
Hugger, the "A" body parts like that should be the same, the Chevelle shares many of our parts, fit should not be an issue, Some of the out side sweeps have very rough and sharp ends, GM did a good job with fit and finish.
I've put on every brand more times than I can remember,....if you want them to fit nicely you'll see what I'm talking about
I replaced mine when I first bought my car. I remember having some trouble with the back quarter window seals. A little modification with a rubber mallet made them conform.
Repop brand is no good. The door strips lack the 90* turn down at the end of the stainless the factory put in so you don't snag your shirt
My dad bought a whole car just to get the factory sweeps off of it,.. why the aftermarket can't get these correct is beyond me
I got a set from ausleys chevelle parts that had them. I made the guy go in the warehouse and open the box while I was on the phone.
That was in the beater days, so a 3 or 4 years ago. I spoke to s guy named Mike. I'm sure he'll remember the nutjob that made him go in the warehouse. I remember him commenting that he never noticed that detail
You could try Restoration Specialties. A couple of the 65 GS guys used theirs since they aren't available elsewhere. RS is a manufacturer of the bulk material. The window sweeps are made to order. They may be able to add the 90* bend if you guys want it. They named their window sweeps "Cat Whiskers". https://www.restorationspecialties.com/
Is Ausley's the way to go? Tring to find one's that are close as possible to original, price is not important.
