Just ordered up richmonds new 5 speed super street tranny, the shop I got it from is trying to set me up with a clutch and pressure plate. They are asking me if I have a 455 or a 350 bellhousing? The casting number on my bellhousing is 9774035. I'm wondering if the 350 had a different bellhousing than the 455? Any input would be appreciated:TU: , thanks Gord

Same size bellhousing used on both engines. I just purchased the exact same bellhousing (with single RH starter bump-out) from KajunJon Enterprises in TX. He's a 4-speed rebuilder. He tells me both the 10.4 and 10.95" (11") clutches will fit without a problem. I've now received it and yes, it'll work.

If you have a lot of hp/torque, McLeod makes a 12" diaphragm-type clutch that will fit the 11" bolt pattern. Not sure that it will fit our bellhousing though. S'posed to have light pedal feel.

I was hoping for a heavy clutch feel so the wife won't want to drive the car:TU:
