..since this pile has seen daylight. Its on its way to my friends garage. We are temporarily installing an aluminum headed SBC that he ordered for his winter project. Since his engine is ready and my car has a good trans and rear, we decided to join forces for some fall racing. Dunno if I'll be wheeling it with my defective arm, but at least something will be happening with it. I do missing grabbing gears:3gears: :3gears: :3gears: :3gears: [IMG] [IMG]

So you are saying the Buick car is ready for the chevy bolt pattern trans.?
In my book any power is better than no power. Go for it.

Yeah....thats about it a far as powerplants go. Just can't budget the Buick stuff these days. Maybe try several years from now.

As far as the tranny goes, all I do is swap bells since I run a T-10. :3gears:

    Hi Dan,

That's a very nice looking Regal! Looks to be a VERY straight body. Love the silver color too.:TU:

BTW...Are those Ralley's 14"? :Do No: Also....looks as though you have an early Fox body Mustang hood scoop there...:Do No:

PS...Hope things come around for you and you are once again able to install the real Buick power "she" deserves!:TU:

    Good Luck!:)

where'd u get those wheels, i want a set for my regal, but wanna keep the smaller wheels (have 14's now) also might do that hood scoop you have if i can find one like it, my air cleaner hits the hood now, and i wouldn't mind the ram air effect!

Hey that looks like the same color as my 87, i know how fun 4-speed cars can be. The hood scoop looks similar to a 80's merc capri, i know that sounds bad but i had one on an old chevy truck, good luck with the swap and have fun banging gears.

Wow...youns know your parts! Yep, thats a Fomoco hoodscoop. Junkyard issue. Not there for decoration either. When I tried a POSton divider on the old 350, it needed hood clearance. Turns out the SBC needs it too!

The body is still pretty good, but the doors are shot. The bottoms are gonzo, although the skins are still holding up.

Those are 15x7 rallyes all around. I have a pair of 14" still on tires I'll sell cheap if someone wants to pick em up. They are in great shape.

Thanks for the kind words. I know we do Buick V8s here, but thats life when things are tight. You can count on me keeping the Wildcat all Buick till they pry my dead hans off the steering wheel. :3gears:

Wow Dan, I thought you were just all talk about putting a rat motor in your car! You're actually doing it????? Well, I hope you can make some real power when its done and then it will all be worth it. Good Luck

Ken is the stereotypical Moper guy. I think any attempted dealing with him will be a waste of your time. He thinks that Volare is cast in gold or something.

I had to do something. Unfortunatley its not my engine. The SBC I bought for it was complete scrap. After I had the block bored and stuff, the well ran dry.
So far theres a few bugs we have to work out of the borrowed crate motor, but it seems pretty powerful. Too bad I can't drive it till my arm heals:blast:

Me too. Unfortunatley the trans says no!:blast: I have it completley apart now and just put in brand new Richmond gear synchro assemblies. Re-assembly is today. Things are still taking me double long cause my arm just isn't up to speed yet, so I gotta rely on helpers.
