Thanks, the rear tires are Cooper Cobra P275/60R-15, on 15 X 8” reproduction Rallye wheels, white letters flipped in. The paint on my car is far from perfect, it’s lacquer from 1997. It has plenty of touched up scratches and imperfections, but it sure looks good in that picture. I like it just the way it is. I could afford to put a pristine paint job on it, but I would be afraid to drive it I think.
I hear you. My paint job is 20 years old and also looks great in pictures but it is also far from perfect. I'm not afraid to drive it. Shamefully, this year, I think I drove it maybe twice. It's crazy, just something came up every weekend and in Maine the window is narrow. It's getting to be time to consider putting it to bed again. But I'm determined to get it out a couple more times anyhow. Lacquer huh? I am jealous. Mine was also lacquer before repaint in BC CC of same color. I prefer lacquer. But not tree hugger friendly I hear.
Sure is pretty, Larry. I'm with you guys on older paint that still looks decent but "ain't afraid to drive it". In '97 I sprayed mine in the old PPG "breathe me and die" Deltron urethane BC/CC. Pretty tough stuff. Devon
Pics of my previous 72GS and my current 70 GSX. While I no longer own the 72, it is a car that I miss a great deal.
Devon that was great paint went on easy and sanding was breeze in never dulls out I sprayed it for years When I was doing my house over i sprayed the gutters with it still shines like the day i did it over 30 years ago unbelievable Deltron was not half as bad as the 70's version of IMRON that was the killer in a can LOL Love your car
I agree, PPG is a fantastic very durable paint. My GS was painted in 2010 by GSJo's shop, 13 years later and it still looks like it rolled out of the Buick factory. I did add a Ceramic coating this year to help add protection to the paint. VET
LOVE your GSX, what a beautiful machine. Yellow is my favorite color, reminds me of an angry BEE. PLEASE don't SING me, said the MoPar!!!!
