Earlier this evening a few of my friends came over and we all decieded to go to a party thats about a 30 minute drive from where I live. So I ask my dad if I can borrow his car since mine is getting painted. So we're driving for a bit with my friend marty following us in his 85 GN, Im in my dads 1997 Jaguar XJ6. So hes tailgating me on the first road so I speed up and lose him through some twisties. Then we get out onto 563 which is a very smooth and straight road. Im cruising about 60 and I see my friends headlights creeping up on me. As soon as he put his left blinker on is when I jammed the Jaguars shifter into 2nd gear (auto transmission) which sent the RPMs to about 4200 which is right where this thing starts to make some good torque. He finally passes me at around 80, we're dead even at 95, at 100 Ive got a fender length on him, by 110 hes at my rear bumper, at around 130 is where I let off and hes was 4-5 lengths back. His car is mostly stock with a K&N filter, bigger exhaust, no cat, etc. Granted he had a bit more weight in his car, he had 2 180lb guy passengers and weights 225 himself. You gotta love the intercooler. Would've been different against an '86 or '87.........But I have to agree with mygrain. Dan
Have a friend w/ an '85. we installed a double width front mount intercooler:grin: he'll be shoot'n down ponies (and jags :blast: ) soon.:TU:
His car flies from 0 to about 80 then it just doesnt pull as hard. The jaguar has a pretty good top end. I dont think I'd be any match for a intercooled regal. Check my sig out, I know how those cars run. ________ Herbal Aire Vaporizer Review
