Gary, I enjoy the event very much, the Chapter did a nice job of everything. I was disappointed that you couldn't a team to judge the cars, the peer judging was okay till less presentable cars won over some nice cars. One car didn't have the trunk, hood or the windows open, and never saw anyone looking at it ou: I hope that 1953 Skylark won something.
Yes, I agree, great show. We caravaned to the show with 4 other cars from the BCA Jersey Shore Chapter, had a great time. Our Skylark won an Excelence Award for class E, so we're pretty proud right now. I'll take 'em anyway I can get 'em.:laugh: Vespoli's '53 Skylark won Best of Show.:TU:
Hey there Louie, we are certainly happy you made it to the show and had a good time. Providing participants a good time was one of our stated goals in the planning stage. Judging was a tough issue for us. Being our first major show we wanted to be careful not to over commit our resources ( namely people) to do a proper judged event. We will try to do a more complete job on our next show. Meanwhile thanks to you and all the great people from this board who attended this show. It could not have been nearly as nice without all of you, and we really appreciate the fact that you all were there. Thank you for posting the pictures. John D

The chapter will be getting together to discuss our "lessons learned" from doing a show, including the judging, so the next one we do will be even better. Gary, thanks for the invite, Our ride to the show was very enjoyable and uneventful, the ride home was a little different, had showers, dead animals in the roadway and lots of road nuts that would get too close to the cars. Never seen so many people that have a hard time keeping their cars between the lines and get pissed off at you cause you doing 70 MPH (going too slow) Looking forward to the next one, the Wildcat will be ready for that one. :TU:
