This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Banged-Up Buick Beats Masda 3

Friday was a good day. I saw my first 2005 Mustang (want one), saw an old Model A - type car on a trailer (complete and relatively rust free) and let a kid in his Mazda 3 down. Now I don't know what the Mazda 3 is capable of, but I was curious to find out.

I was on a service call in Baton Rouge and was leaving a client to trek to Hammond. I pulled out of the business and was acceletating slowly down the three-lane road (I'm in no hurry) when I hear tire squeals pass my passenger side and move behind me. In my rear-view mirror I saw a red car jump in my lane sideways (out from a side-street - he almost lost it making the manuever) and jump on my bee-hind. He switches lanes hard and I hear he is gunning it to go around me. I was in such a good mood on Friday I though "Why not?" Now, I was doing 30 mph which is the absolute sweet spot where the tranny drops to 1st and moves! I hit the pedal and in almost no time matched him and absolutely left him. At the stoplight he wouldn;t even look over. I just laughed and could only image what this kid was thinking... that he got dissed by a big, wrecked, bent, dusty, open-exhaust, bondo-filled hooptie like nobody's business.

It was a good day. :TU:
