Gary, the 65's used a clear vinyl window only on the A body cars. The full size cars used a glass back window but not our A bodies. The glass rear windows for A bodies started in 68. And the heated back glass started in 72 for the LeSabre and Centurion convertibles and the Estate Wagons.

Dave, Gary is right.I can't speak for 65' but I believe it's the same deal as my 67'.I did order the glass top(and canvas)because thats want I wanted on my daily driver. Some days having to unzip the glass and lay it down is a pain, but other times(like winter) I really appreciate the glass.Again it's a preference. My car had so many non-original mods made to it already I wasn't going to be hung up on keeping it original.

Glass back windows are sure a lot nicer than the vinyl. I don't know/didn't know they were even available from the aftermarket nowadays. If they are great. The 66/67 back windows and tops are different than the 64/65 tops/windows. Gary, I thought you were asking if they ever came from the factory for a 65. Good luck

I believe they are availabe, but if you put the top down, you have to unzip the back window so it doesn't break when the top folds on top of it.
