Have never converted a car over to a 4 speed, I have 70 LeMans donor car with all the parts, with a Saginaw trans. Will this work with Pontiac parts and is the same crossmember used for auto and 4speed? Thanks, Jim :beer

Convert and hardtop members are different. 4 speed and auto members are different based on a hole that you could repro. You would not use the hole on the 4 speed set up so it is not necessary.

Thanks for the reply, I was aware of the different crossmembers for conv't and hard top, just did not know if I could use my existing one for the swap.

    thx for the info.

I believe the hole issue is small block versus large block difference for auto trans cars anyway. On a 4 speed the e brake cable goes over the cross member so whether the hole is there for the e brake set up for a TH 400 is of no consequence.
