Dave, V6turbo against V8. How about v8 against v8 Make it an Apples to Apples comparision. Then Again there is always wayne!:3gears:
We are getting there. I need to get with Burek and let him know you guys up'ed the stakes on me while I was away!I was hoping to have it ready in time for this event, but waiting on those Bulldog heads has put a little bit of delay into my plans. At this point Im not looking to out run any of you guys(and gal), Im just looking to keep up now. Sounds like everyones stepped it up!:eek2: What do we have going in May to look forward too??The beast should be rumbling by then:Brow:
Little V6 huh? Remember, I've also had a T-Type. It was stock and still made my hair stand on end!!! I might be blonde but I sure ain't dumb! :Brow: Your Red has better paint than my Red = less wind resistance. I also have a convertible top that will cause more wind resistance on my car than on yours. Ooopps! That sounds like an excuse, doesn't it? ou: Dee
YES!!! nudge nudge nudge Sorry to be a pest, but I wanna see that red car GO!!!! (faster, that is, not "go", as in away...)
OK the race is on! I do have the headers installed but not sure if I can get the rearend changed in time?? A 14.6 last year maybe a 14.00 and even mid 13's if I get the rearend done in time. But no matter I'll run ya but just remember go on green:laugh: And the winner can take on the other red one:laugh: Right Nick?
I think we ran our best time at Temple last year in the 'vert. 13.48 at 100 mph. Not bad for a 5000 pound car.:3gears:
I'm hoping to attend with my '87 TR. It's at the paint shop now getting GNX flares and louvers and GN deck spoiler to fit over the 17x11 315/35-rears and 17x10 285/40 fronts. I also need to finish the new girdled engine with Kurtz trans. My son, Robert, should also attend with his '70GS 350 that we restored last year.
Excellent, sounds like the 1970's are going to be well represented. I was just thinking about this, I wonder if we should set up a little "swap meet" this time? Or if this is too short notice, maybe next time. I don't know that I have much to get rid of, but if I knew people would be bringing parts I know I'd have a couple dollars on hand. Just an idea, we can start a new thread if needed. It doesn't need to be anything organized, but if people are bringing parts to sell, we should get the word out. :TU:
Anybody is welcome to bring parts to sell. I know J.R. Will be bringing some new overflow bottles to sell...
I've got an original burnished saddle (brown) houndstooth pattern back seat out of my '70 GS that I need to get rid of. It's in very good condition, still pretty soft with no tears. Thought I could put it in my convertible but forgot that it won't fit. ou: Haven't posted it for sale because I don't want to try to ship it. Also don't think there are too many people around this area with burnished saddle interior, except me. If anyone is interested, make an offer. Dee
