I know some of you like to lollygag in making your motel reservations for both our Buick Performance Weekend at E-Town and the East Coast Buick Regionals at Cecil County in Maryland. I'd just like to remind you that the motels both have a cutoff of August 1st to get our group rate. I know in the past some of you (you know who you are!) have called John Csordas at the last minute and complained about the high cost or unavailability of a room. The fact is that it's your own fault for not calling when you were supposed to! John just heard from the manager at the motel for E-Town (no motel names to be mentioned in this thread for security purposes) and she said not many rooms have been reserved yet and she's not willing to hold them past the deadline because it's a holiday weekend and she'll be able to rent the rooms to someone else for more money! If you miss the deadline, you might be able to get a room, but you'll have to pay full price! If you're not sure if you can make it, make the reservation anyway. You can always cancel the room at a later date if you don't go. I don't want to hear about ANYONE calling John to complain they couldn't get a room or that they had to pay too much. If you do, you'll be hearing about it from me, and I won't be using words you can say on TV!! We're staying in the same places we always stay, so look up the numbers yourself or call John (hotline-845-528-GSGN or cell-914-447-6068) and he'll give you the contact info. For E-Town, mention the Buick club and for Cecil either the club by name or the Buick race, whichever works. This info will be in our currently (very) overdue newsletter whenever Rick gets it together. Since I don't know when you will receive it, John and I thought it would be best to make a post. Please post here to let us know you've made your reservations, and specify which one or both, please. Thanks.
