I am working on a 1967 Skylark Convertible and am in need of the some of the stainless that sets below the quarter windows and goes around the rear edge where the top goes down. I'm not sure what you call them. The boot covers them up I believe when the top is down. I can get a set off of a 67 GTO for the taking. Are they the same? Thanks for your input.

There are two types depending on the option. As far as I know they are the same and all stainless.
My Skylark's is made up of 4 peices to extend to the door opening. On my GS it is of the 2 peice design and end at the back seat. The peices from the 2 peice desing are not the same as the other. I'll post some pic's if you want.
    Do you have a picture?

Pinch weld molding is the name for the stainless around the back.

Jim was there an option for snaps on the pinchweld molding? I have both types.

I do not know. I have never owned a 67. Just almost a couple of times.

For the same year the 5000 and up series cars has a note that the moldings "Incl. attaching parts" but the 3-4000 series cars do not. This could be a reference to snaps but I need to defer to a 67 pro.

All hardtops used the polished aluminum around the doors and side windows and conv`t`s used stainless ones, the ones off a 66-67 GTO are the same.

    Thanks

You guys are good. Thanks for the quick response. My Buick has the snaps (and a couple of screws holding it in place) hence the need for a replacement. It is in four pieces not including the window molding. The one still on the remnants of the GTO is two piece with no snaps. I'll go get it. Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll need more.
