This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. Anyone want to help the Cub Scouts?

I started this by ranting at the "Frustrated and venting here" thread. If anyone is interested in helping out our Cub Scout Pack 25 of Farmville NC then they can make a "donation" to purchase some $2 raffle tickets. The winner gets $300, 2nd is $100 and 3rd is $50. But the most important part is we are helping these boys.

The deal is we are having a Turkey Shoot and a raffle to raise funds to help these boys (and parents). It takes approximately $45 per boy per year, so they get free handbooks, pay no monthly dues and the parents are not having to dish out money every time there is a campout or their son earns an award or patch.

I have paypal set up at gsjimmy@greenvillenc.com or you can mail it to: Jimmy Cleveland
    2493 Beaver Creek Rd.
    Greenville NC 27834
Make checks payable to: Pack 25, East Carolina Council.

I just need your name, city and state, and e-mail address.

Others that have helped me so far have said they would do a split with 1/2 the winings going to v8buick.com and I plan on doing the same with the tickets that I have purchased.

If you have any question please e-mail or pm me.

We helped out at the Turkey Shoot the last two nights and it looks like we have made $1000 so far.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Ok, I live in a big city, what's a Turkey Shoot exactly? Y'all stand around blasting Turkeys with semi-auto's or something?

Actually you use a 12 gauge, 20 gauge or 410 shot gun to shoot at a paper target 90 feet away, and the closet to the center wins.
A Turkey Shoot is $3 and the winner gets a voucher to go to the local grocery store to purchase his turkey, BUT this year we are giving out a $10 gift card to Food Lion. There is also a $4 HAM shoot for a $20 gift card and a $5 shoot for a money round. There are 10 people who take turns shooting at there target and the winner of the money round gets $25 or 1/2 the total money taken in for that round.

If 10 people pay $3 that is $30 total. the winner gets $10 and he is given the shot gun shell when it is his turn to shoot. So out of the $30 the Scouts earn about $12 per round.

The Cubmaster told us today that we have made $1000 this weekend. So if next weekend goes like this one then we will make $2K and then about $1K off of the raffle(we hope).

This is Redneck country so it would make more sense to just shoot your own turkey and take it home!
