Well if you ran a jet pump, you could use the Olds adapter for the bellhousing. You could build a set of water injected headers as long as you ran an open engine compartment. As far as internals go, there's not that much difference. A little more clearance in the bearings and rings, a cam with less exhaust duration to reduce water reversion from the water injected headers and typically severe duty intake valves and Inconel exhaust valves. You can find some "marine" intakes that have brass inserts in the water passages, but most of that stuff is only needed if you're running in salt water. Guys don't always run marine versions of the carbs and fuel pumps.

Wasn't there a reverse rotation crank and cam for the marine nailhead for dual engine and prop apps?

I've heard of some reverse applications but have never seen them much, typically on a dual engine appication the props are changed so they both rotate inward or outward depending on application. There may be some small differences out there especilly on th older stuff. I've only been playing with the boat stuff seriously since the mid 90's and it's been newer boats (except for an old 17' Kachina jetboat) That was a fun ride in smooth water, Sunday afternoon though you're going to need a Chiropractor at times

Meet me where the river meets the bottom of the levee where the pilots USED to live for over one hundred years guiding ships through the Mississippi delta. It was on a spit of land just off the river in the bayous, till it was destroyed by Katrina. I'll be in a hand made cypress canoe with beer. :TU:

EDIT: Waited for you and drank the beer.....:bla:
