I'm hunting for a little more ET out of my car, and want to try a q-jet to see if there is any performance difference from the 750 Holley that is currently installed. If anyone near the NJ area has a good running carb that I could use for a weekend, I'd appreciate it. I'll let you hold on to my Holley carb for collateral if you'd like:laugh: I have a q-jet core that I'm not sure I want to spend the time building and tuning, so this can at least let me know if it's worth the trouble.

    Artie,
When I bought my Stage1, there was a Q-jet from a 71 350 (7041544) on it. The only problem I had was that I couldn't get it to idle in Drive without excessive RPM in Park. I needed a big block carburetor. It was an otherwise good running carb. It is jetted, but I don't know the jets and rods used. I'm not doing anything with it. I could ship it to you, or if you want to pick it up, you can try it.

Larry, I'll take you up on that. PM me with your paypal address or snail mail address and I'll send over enough money to cover shipping.

    Thanks

Who knew years ago to hold onto those old q jets. I went through a truck load of them back in the day. How dumb.
