Anyone got a Thomas Register set?

    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find a replacement for a pair of rubber suspension bushings. The bushings are stamped DT 1F-127 on one, and DT 1F-87 on the other. I think they are metric. Does anyone know of a bushing manufacturer called DT, or use that as its initials? This could be searched out in a Thomas Register.

The reason I'm searching this way is that this bushing isn't listed in any online catalog I can find.

The car is my daughter's 1986 Ford Tempo GL, and these are the outer bushings in the rear suspension control arms. I found the bushings that go on the inner side of the arms, both Moog and NAPA have 'em in their catalogs.

Ford doesn't service these bushings seperately, only the whole control arm. Which they discontinued, many many years ago.

The inner bushings I have on hand, I'm just trying to track down 4 of these outer bushings.

    Thank you!
    Dan

I just went through that on the front lower control arm bushings on my Escape...and ended up just going with the whole lower arms..I know why they do it (just like production), nobody in the organization can think anymore, they got rid of all of those who could. Now anyone with a PC can run the Parts and Service system. To them it's all just numbers. It could even be done in India.

That car was nothing but a bloated up Escort, you may try seeing if you can find the corresponding parts for an 86 Escort (physical dimensions). The actual part number differences may just be the durometer of the rubber, etc.
