It's been a while since I built my motor but I seem to remember having to trim the front cover a little and I may have even stacked a couple oil slingers in there too but haven't had any troubles with it

 

I used the lighter SA version. You can see how I clearanced the front cover:

Mine is. No sweat for a 6500 rpm max engine.

I have ran one for 10 seasons on three engines (same balancer) with no problems. I currently run external balance, but will go with lightening the crank and internal on my next engine.

i called that company and they are no longer available. he is deleting it from ebay today. :af: any other ideas? what about a used one? id rather spend $250
compared to an ati which is about $440

I think I have one of those balancers which I never used for my build.It's used but doesn't appear to be in bad shape if your interested.

Have had that one on my car for three years, no problems. When I had the balance done the machine shop said it was right on..

 

That is a deal, I have bought some good parts from Maddog before.
There is nothing wrong with a good used one either, especially if you save more Money.

 

I bought one ( not sure which, I think they have 2 for the 455 ) but anyways the one thing they don't tell you is that the crank bolt needs to be longer - just fyi
