I found a 64 Skylark I want and was wondering if anyone from the board is close enough to look for me . I'm down a little south of the bay area around Gilroy . I'd always return favor to any member . Want to make sure it's driveable and rust free . Thanks , Mike
rust free? You can see the rust around the rear window in the picture Mike! Seriously though, if it is the one that is light blue with white buckets at a dealership in Longview, I think that same car was for sale last year at a dealership in Edmonds I think. Had some neat options, but needed a lot of work. I think it had trunk ledge and trunk rust too. I would ask for a bunch of pics, I think it needs a fair amount of work. I remember thinking it was worth $1,500 - $2,500, but I never looked at it, but did get some pics that I don't have anymore.
I just stumbled on that one tonight. I was thinking that it would be interesting for about half the price - especially with buckets and all.
I finally got the pics and your right it's ruff . They told me it's in great driver condition ou: I also remember it being at another dealer and I think they would have taken around 2 k . Looks like this guy put a junkyard 350 in it as well . Man really like those colors !! Looking for a cherry driver in slate blue if anyone comes across something . Thanks for input . :TU:
