Anybody got a spare block laying around?

I just got the sad news that on a couple cylinders of my 455 block was sonic tested at only .165 thick. Bores are tapered .004 so must be bored.
My pistons were +.040 so that would put the wall thickness down to 0.145.

Oh, and yeah, it's on the thrust side.

Got a bunch, but I'm on the east coast, so not a match for you. Find one on the left coast, it will be much cheaper.

Yeah, the first guy "might" be GranSportSedan from here, but I'm not certain. The problem is whoever it is only gave a craigslist email reply contact info and he hasn't checked his email in the last 2 days at least.
The second one is actually down in Eagle Point, which is a 5 hour drive south from me. It seems like the better deal being together, but hey, my motor used to be together too only to find out it has too thin off cylinder walls.
I think I have found one locally. Not cheap, but he will refund my money if it is too thin.
He has to dig his way back to it and verify later.

Ouch. The guy in Salem emailed me back finally. This was his reply.

sorry, after multiple times of trying to sell them and getting nothing but scammers I sent it all to scrap metal recyclers.

Like a punch right in the gut.

I can understand getting fed up with CL, but he had a full long block, plus headers, plus a storage stand etc. Why ask $600 for the whole lot and then toss it? Why not put it up for free, or for $100. Nope, just scrap it.
I guess it makes as much sense as people that let cars slowly rot into the ground rather than sell em to somebody to fix them.
Oh well, it was his property, his decision. just smarts a bit.

Jon. I have a 72 455 complete minus carb up here in Bremerton WA. Running when pulled. Stored inside since. I would assume it's standard bore. I had planned to put it in my 67 but plans changed. Let me know if your're interested.

Ok guys, thanks for all the input. I did buy the block from the local guy here. It was 450 but an actual business and if it doesn't measure out in sonic, he will refund me 100%.
Or I could have started some long road trips to save a couple hundred bucks, but I'm too old for 10 hour marathon driving runs any more.
So, for now, money well spent. If it fails, well I can guarantee you I will be back here after we get the new block tested out.

Well hell. Just got off the phone with the shop. The second block measured out great...... except for cylinder #1. It is down to .125 on the thrust side on just that one cylinder.
    sigh.
Any other blocks in the Portland area?
